Thursday evening live good support group Postponed till February '03

I have received an email from Adair Schwarz, our Thursday evening live good support group hostess indicating that the support group is being postponed until February, 2003.  Adair needs some holiday time & vacation time.  We'll advise when this starts again in February.

Our website is now updated with our 2003 Potluck schedule.

Southern California Report

I stopped in Orange County on my way home from Miami.  There are a lot of rawfood activities under way there.  If any of you get down there or to LA you should ask to be placed on the RAW LA Email list (Contact:  Joshuatz@aol.com and/or Kerrie Cushing  [adancingbutterfly@juno.com].  Joshua covers events from LA to Orange County.  Kerrie tends to cover from Orange County south to San Diego.  Several people have very viable raw food catering businesses in Orange County, and there are several restaurants now serving raw foods at least a few days per week.

Are you interested in Raw Food Employment near Dunsmuir, CA?

We are looking for fun, professional, raw people who have a focused work ethic (neither workaholic nor couch potatoÖ) for the following positions:

1. Raw Restaurant Manager
2. Small Bar and Hotel Manager
(these jobs can be combined or separated if needed)
3. Facilities Manager (not necessarily raw) - to oversee the management and operations of a number of facilities ( bar/restaurants/hotels) and to interface with managers regularly.

You may have heard that we are opening a raw foods restaurant in a small, quaint, picturesque town just 5 miles south of Mt. Shasta in northern California.

Formerly a hopping railroad center, Dunsmuir is shifting towards a more progressive haven for visitors and locals alike to recreate and rejuvenate. Nestled in the Sacramento River canyon, surrounded by both deciduous and coniferous forest, The Castle Rock Inn will offer a live food menu that appeals to both our local blue-collar workers (nut loaf, beet burgers, soups, mock tuna and cheeses, juices, smoothies and delectable desserts) and folks like you who may want something more simple and light.

The Bohemian Pub attached to the raw food restaurant will serve wine and beer (and shots of green juice!).  It will be a warm community gathering place for philosophical conversations, friendly games of backgammon, local and imported musical talent, open mic and poetry readings, and shows (including improv).

Formerly a brothel, the Inn upstairs will celebrate women through its decor.  The conference room will be available for meetings, retreats, and conferences at very reasonable prices (we want people returning!).  A larger conference facility will also be available in our historical movie theater just around the corner.

If you know anyone who would like to relocate to the Mt. Shasta area and be a part of creating this fun, interactive raw foods restaurant, have her/him email Karen Perry at shereos2000@yahoo.com or call 530-235-4279

Thanks and blessings for the New Year!
