Emergency News Flash!! Something very wonderful is
about to happen near Sacramento. This one snuck up on me, and I have now
displayed it even more prominently on our Web Site. This event begins this
Thursday, June 19. Please read up. You'll really miss out if you
don't make it to this one:
June 19 -22 (Thursday - Sunday) Modern Manna's Health & Healing Crusade
at Lodi, CA. (Not an exclusively raw event, but several of our members
attended last year & it was excellent). This event is free. Featured
presenters include Dr. Lorraine Day, Dr. John McDougall, John Robbins, Dr. Neal
Barnard, Howard Lyman, Charlotte Gerson and others. It is possible to bring a tent and
camp at the grounds of Lodi Grape Festival (where the event is held). This
event draws thousands and I highly recommend it.

Nomi Shannon will perform a Raw Food Demo. There will be many outstanding
lectures, displays, and food samples. More comments on our main

Sacramento visit has been officially rescheduled for August 1 & 2. She
will hold a dinner on Friday August 1 and a full-day workshop on Saturday August
2. Stay tuned for more news on this.
Fourth of July Weekend California will be
holding it's largest raw food event of the year. Read about Rawstock
on our events page!
Speaking of huge raw food gatherings, I have
to mention the biggest one of all: Portland's Raw Food Festival, scheduled

Raw Sacramento now has a functioning steering committee.
This is going to make our group and our events much better. You can join
this group, or, you can attend meetings of the steering committee.

Where to get Raw Food in Sacramento? If you
read our events page carefully you'll see that we have 2 potlucks a month on
Thursdays, one a month on Sundays, one on Fridays. But, would you
like to just show up & pay for a nice raw meal? As an experiment, we will
be trying this beginning in July under the direction of Diane & Larry Walters.

JULY's Monthly Sunday Potluck will be delayed until July
13, due to the 4th of July weekend. Additionally, the location for this
potluck has been changed to our standard McKinley Park location.
On Monday, June 23 Dr. Neal Barnard will speak on
how to overcome addictive & harmful foods at the sierra 2 center in Sacramento.
