This week I've been barraged with people fearing government action to 'weaken' the government's definition of ORGANIC.   They want me to write, call, and protest yet another misguided government action.  Here's why I won't.

Don't forget to check out our new Recipes Page!   If you have recipes to submit, please do so!

About 6 months ago I realized I was just too busy to plan events.  And, I realize for that reason we have had few.  I put out the word asking for assistance.   Well, lately a number of people are planning their own events, speakers, and classes.  Raw Foods has gained tremendous 'critical mass' in some areas of the country.  It is encouraging to see raw foods gaining momentum in Sacramento as well.

Best regards,

Mark Blackburn

Illness Alert.  If you live in America, you probably know a lot of diseased people.   Here is a forwarded announcement from Blake Graham of Australia.  While I disagree with Blake on many issues, I recognize his research and his website are very credible.  It contains many useful links.  If you wish to research the latest information on any of the below diseases, you will find his site helpful.  Blake has linked in the latest studies on nutrition and disease.  (Please understand that these studies are conducted by conventional medicine adherents, and as such conclusions often are biased).  In other words, dietary prescriptions might include eating things a raw food person would eat and eliminating things a cooked-US-eater would eat.  But, the conclusion is rarely to therefore adopt a raw food diet.  (Your basic cooked thinking).
